Flying Home
In memory of Tony Obad
Verse 1:
I’m standing on top of the water, on a cliff high above,
Abandoned from a warm world which I once knew and loved.
The wind is blowing stong behind me, pulling me back to and fro,
So I feel I need something to lift me from my depressing low.
The sun is no longer shining down on my soul,
For I feel now that sadness and neglect have taken their final toll.
Flying home on the wings of a crow,
It’s the understanding of life as we know.
Then the mystery of the unexplained,
The sun will shine and it starts to rain.
Flying home on the wings of a crow,
Flying home on the wings of a crow,
My beliefs and morals are dead now and I silently mourn,
For values of desperation are now violently born.
As I look to the horizon on that windy cliff’s edge,
I feel like a dead flower beginning to fall off the ledge.
When all of a sudden a picturesque sky now forms before me,
Like nothing that precious have I been able to see.
Flying home on the wings of a crow,
It’s the understanding of life as we know.
Then the mystery of the unexplained,
The sun will shine and it starts to rain.
Flying home on the wings of a crow,
Flying home on the wings of a crow,
I feel all safe now like never before,
Being mended from a sickness of a heart being torn.
I am being rescued from a life that stabs like a knife,
As I so bravely walk the bridge back to life!
Flying home on the wings of a crow,
It’s the understanding of life as we know.
Then the mystery of the unexplained,
The sun will shine and it starts to rain.
Flying home on the wings of a crow,
Flying home on the wings of a crow,
